Terms of service.
The agreement between you and Privesc.Eu Web SRL when you use CleanScribe.
Last updated 3 May 2026.
1. Acceptance
These terms govern your use of CleanScribe (the “service”), operated by Privesc.Eu Web SRL, a limited liability company registered in Romania (the “company”, “we”, “us”).
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the service, you confirm that you have read these terms and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation, and references to “you” in these terms include the organisation.
2. The service
CleanScribe is a software-as-a-service platform that transcribes audio and video recordings you upload, returning a written transcript with timestamps and speaker labels. Transcription combines third-party AI providers with a speech-recognition engine operated by us. The list of sub-processors we currently use is published in our privacy policy.
The service is provided in the form you find when you sign in. We add, remove, and modify features over time. We’ll give reasonable notice of material changes that adversely affect a paid plan you’ve subscribed to.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the service. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your sign-in credentials confidential. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
You must be at least sixteen years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher.
Tell us promptly at support@cleanscribe.ai if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
4. Payment and renewal
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor. Prices are listed on the pricing page in US dollars. Stripe may convert to your local currency at checkout. Applicable taxes are added at checkout.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period for the same plan, at the price then listed, until you cancel.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel any paid plan from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83/EU after your first subscription. By starting to use the service before fourteen days have passed, you agree that we begin performance immediately and that the right of withdrawal will lapse once the service has been fully performed for that period.
Beyond the statutory right of withdrawal, we offer a discretionary thirty-day refund of the most recent monthly payment if the service has not worked as advertised. Email support@cleanscribe.ai.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- upload material that infringes copyright, trademark, or any other right;
- upload material that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or that depicts the sexual abuse of minors;
- upload audio of identifiable individuals without their consent where consent is required under applicable law;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying models or weights;
- use the service to build a competing transcription product;
- circumvent any quota, throttling, or access control;
- send automated traffic that disrupts the service for others;
- use the service in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We’ll tell you why, unless doing so would create legal risk for us or interfere with an investigation.
7. Your content
You retain all rights in the audio, video, and transcripts associated with your account (your “content”). We claim no ownership.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, transmit, process, and transcribe your content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you. We do not use your content to train models. We do not sell your content. We do not share your content with anyone other than the sub-processors listed in our privacy policy, and only to the extent strictly necessary to deliver the service.
You are responsible for the legality of your content, including obtaining any consents required to record and process it.
8. Our intellectual property
CleanScribe, the CleanScribe wordmark, the user interface, the source code, the documentation, and all other materials we provide are owned by Privesc.Eu Web SRL or its licensors. You receive only the licence to use the service granted by these terms — no other rights are granted, expressly or by implication.
9. Quotas and limits
Each plan includes a monthly quota measured in minutes of audio. Quotas reset at midnight UTC on the first day of each calendar month. Uploads that would exceed your remaining quota are blocked before they start. There are no overage charges.
We may apply technical limits — file size, duration, request rate — to keep the service stable for everyone. Current limits are documented on our help pages and may change with reasonable notice.
10. Service availability
We aim for high availability but we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat. Maintenance windows, third-party provider outages, and unforeseen events may cause downtime.
For Enterprise customers with a written service-level agreement, the availability commitments and remedies in that agreement prevail over this section.
11. Termination
You may terminate your use of the service at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account.
We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where required by law. Where reasonably possible, we’ll give you a chance to cure the breach first.
On termination: your right to use the service ends; we’ll delete your content within ninety days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Transcription accuracy depends on the audio you provide and on the underlying models. We do not warrant that transcripts will be free of errors. Do not rely on the service for safety-critical, life-critical, or legal-record purposes without independent verification.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory applicable law (including, in Romania and the European Union, statutory consumer guarantees).
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred euros.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or wilful misconduct.
14. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from your content or your breach of these terms, including reasonable legal fees. We’ll tell you promptly of any such claim and let you control the defence with cooperative communication on our part.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we’ll let signed-in users know via email or an in-app notice at least fourteen days before the change takes effect, except for changes that are required by law or that are favourable to you, which can take effect sooner.
Continued use of the service after the effective date means you accept the revised terms. If you don’t accept them, cancel and stop using the service.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Bucharest, Romania, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service, except that we or you may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect intellectual property or confidential information.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence and you retain the protection of mandatory provisions of consumer-protection law in your country of residence.
17. Contact
For all enquiries — general questions, account issues, sales, billing, legal notices, and security disclosures — write to support@cleanscribe.ai. We aim to reply within two working days.
